Established in 1962, this wholesale butcher was ready for a re-brand. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect, as with the 3rd generation of family butchers settling in, the decision was made to make more of their retail opportunity.
Challenge
A business that is run by the family for generations is inevitably an emotional affair. Branding and marketing are not necessarily disciplines that have been a focus of the owners in the past, so they needed to be guided through every single step of the process.
Results
A little anxious at first, Andrew Jones put his trust fully in us. With the brand DNA established, we created the logo and all its applications. The authentic no gimmick concept was continued in the shop where we ensured the distinct look of a traditional butcher with sawdust on the black and white floor tiles and the butcher’s blocks taking centre stage. The response on launch was overwhelming and the investment paid off immediately, with the retail business growing to a significant income stream.
