Who isn’t impartial to a sweet treat every now and then? Especially fine chocolate?
We certainly aren’t. So when we got a chance to work with Yves Thuries, the French Chocolatier on their packaging, we where of course excited by the prospect of having to experience the product.
This was a pure design and messaging exercise as the product packaging style was not going to be changed.
Researching Yves Thurier’s history into sourcing only the best ingredients from sustainable resources it was clear that we needed to tell that story and make the main ingredient the hero. Especially since we couldn’t elevate the packaging from a construction or material point of view, giving a nod to the artisan approach of the brand and the quality of the product we wanted to create a packaging that felt like a ‘Craft Gucci Bag’.
Naturally we also proposed a change of material making the bags fully recyclable whilst keeping production and costs the same.
